Show me and I may remember
Involve me, and I will understand.

There seems to be some debate over who said this; perhaps Confucious, perhaps it’s an old chinese proverb, maybe even Anthony Robbins. It doesn’t matter who said it, it is basic, smart and under-appreciated. When our communication is unclear, it is rarely the fault of the person paying attention to us.

Next time someone has a hard time understanding what we’re telling them, let’s find a better way to share the info (instead of talking AT them).
