It is easier to approve or stamp or modifiy and sterilize everything before you send it out, than it is to do a proper follow-up, analysis and objective review. Which is why most PR, Communications and Marketing is sterile and flavourless.

Don’t be so afraid. Don’t. If you have the right, bright people working with you, then the chance of a monumental, irreperable blunder is unbelivably slim. The only way smart people learn is by making mistakes, so learn from yours, and let them learn from theirs – by giving them enough room and trust to try something you didn’t have to approve.
